3. I've been a type 1 diabetic for 56 years

8. I have two kids. Daniel who is 30 and Nikita Kaye, Nikki, who was 33 on Valentines Day 1991.
9. We have one yellow tabby male cat, Honeybun. He's among a few we've had, all strays.
10. I was in the hospital for 4-5 extended stays due to diabetic ketoacidosis. It has left it's after effects.

32. Just got out of the hospital from having pneumonia. It's a climb back and on air 24/7 but I feel better!

72. My Mom used to bake the BEST diabetic chocolate chip cookies!
73. My Mom also had to handle my sister and my diabetes with very little medical help. She used to have to hold spoons under our tongues to prevent us from swallowing them, due to our passing out. They didn't tell her how to do anything. She's my hero!
74. I went through diabetic ketoacidosis 5 times in a two year period. I was VERY close to dying.
